The head of the Council of Asharqia Chamber Abdulrahman bin Saleh Ataishan said that The Forum will review seven working papers that discuss two axes will introduce them (the role of the transportation sector in economic activity, and successful experiences in the field of transportation and logistic support), Entitled the role of the transportation sector in the economic activity in the first session of the Forum, the head of the general institution of ports Ports Dr. Nabil bin Mohammed Al Amoudi, discusses the vision of ports in transportation improvement, while the general manager of the General Organization of Railways Dr. Rumaih bin Muhammad Rumaih speaks about the strategies and challenges of transportation during the next 20 years, , the head of the Transit General Authority Dr. Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Ohali reviews the vision of the Committee for the improvement of transportation, and the session will conclude by a paper about (the reality and prospects of transportation) presented by the executive manager of Arasco Logistic- member of the Committee of land transportation in Asharqia Chamber of Khalid bin Abdul Aziz al Bakri.

Al Ataishan evaluated to His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Prince of the Eastern Province his sponsorship of the event, saying that the generous patronage by His Highness is what we are used to since long time, and this optimizes the success of this event, and will motivate us towards organizing similar events again in other economic sectors and activities.
Ataishan explained that the Chamber as it holds this event, it proceed from the fact that road transportation is vital sector that many trade and tourism and other activities rely on, and the Chamber with its essential role in the economic life in the Kingdom is seeking hard to spot everything that serves their goals, and supports its purposes for an active private sector, of a high productivity that will be beneficial for the country and the citizen.
For his part, Chairman of Land Transportation and member of the Board of Directors of Asharqia Chamber Bandar bin Ali Al Jabri said that this forum is one of several events held by the Committee of Land Transportation Asharqia Chamber in the plan of the current year 2016, which includes other events, and several meetings and dialogues about a number of related Transportation subject, which handles a big turning point due to the huge increase in Land Transportation projects in the country, including land lines and new rail project, which reflects the commercial and industrial work in the country in this period.
Al Jabri added that Land Transportation, which carries a great importance for the economy in general, at the same time suffering from a number of challenges, most prominently the image of the future in the light of the present, what we are witnessing is a continuous growth and huge projects in the Land Transportation, especially in the railway project, which requires of us as citizens and investors to find out the ways to benefit and the improvement methods and means of increasing the value of these projects, and this is what this forum seeks where it discusses the most important thing in Land Transportation which is its impact on the economy, and the future image of this growing sector.
The Secretary General of Asharqia Chamber Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al Wabel that the Chamber and for the success of this event , never stopped the efforts to show this occasion in the hoped image, through which the aspirations of the private sector, and the workers in this regard are achieved.
Al Wabel expects that the Land Transportation forum and its impact on the national economy would offer a number of additions to the sector, especially since many of the participants in the forum are either specialized companies in Land Transportation, or from big organizations and companies related to the transportation sector of different aspects.
